Creation of visitor gardens, new entrances to PICU wards and refurbishment to the entrance to Great Oaks Older Persons Hospital in Scunthorpe.
The entrance to the hospital was designed to enhance the existing wooded character. Rhododendron shrubbery with contrasting leaves and cool pink, blue and purple flowers have been specified to compliment the pink render and timber cladding of the building facade.
The Visitor Garden will be created within the existing grounds to provide service users, with permitted access to community areas, a beautiful calming environment to sit with their visitors near to the entrance of the hospital. The sunny prospect and character of the site has been maximised with yellow and orange perennials dominating the planting scheme.
